Skateboarding team expansion!
April 19th, 2012
We have got some new talent in our skateboarding team!
Jelle Willemsen is 19 years old and lives in Kalmthout (Belgium). Most of the time he rides the local park, but he tries to go skate in Antwerp as much as possible. He rides everything, but preferes streetskating.
Check out his massive pop and sick balance in the video below!
We’ve got us a World Champ!
March 26th, 2012
Last saturday, great news got in for those who didn't already see it on the FWT live stream. Our long-time team freerider Jonathan 'Douds' Charlet - a Chamonix native - took home the Freestyle World Tour title. It's also his 3rd consecutive top 5 spot, finishing 4th on the rankings in both 2010 and 2011. This year he stepped it up and rode stronger than ever before, which resulted in three tourstop wins. The first in his home spot of Chamonix, a second one in the beautiful Austrian resort of Fieberbrunn and the final victory dominating the world famous and gnarly terrain on the Bec Des Rosses in Verbier, Switzerland. Perhaps the excitement of becoming a father soon fuelled his motivation and riding stamina? A 2nd place in Revelstoke, Canada, 3rd in Courmayeur and a 4th spot in the Norwegian Roldal have contributed to his overall top score in the 2012 FWT edition.
Imperivm’s creativity
March 14th, 2012
The one but last stop of the Freeride World Tour was held in Fieberbrunn, Austria. With 20 cm fresh snow and a group of hyper motivated riders the conditions couldn’t be any better. This event promised to be one never to forget.
Who else than our rider, Jonathan ‘Douds’ Charlet, could make it happen again by confirming his supremacy on this years’ tour? He didn’t only stand out with a very creative approach but he exceeded the expectations. He took the first place at the event and is currently ranked first in the overall rankings! With only the final event going down in Verbier in two weeks he’s on his way to a nice victory in this iconic and craving freeride competition.
Imperivm keeps on scoring

Our two home-bred style machines, Jens Rummens and Simon Van Haeken, took part in the third stop of the Flanders Freestyle Cup in Peer last weekend. The level was really high in the groms category but the two managed to throw down some solid spins.
We want to congratulate them both! Simon just missed the final, but seen his shoulder injury this is an insane result. Just so you know, he’s still recovering from a broken collarbone. Due to his consistency and his sick style Jens tweaked himself into third place!
With only one stop to go we already dare to say that our riders performed very well on this national championships tour. Watch out for these two guys on the final stop in two weeks in Ice Mountain, Komen. Afterwards they’ll be preparing themselves for the Belgian Champs in Les 2 Alpes, France.
VANpire Media: Season 2 episode 1
March 6th, 2012
Here’s some footage of our Swedish rider, Alexander Davidson, and his crew in their local park.
Take a look at how these guys kill this beautiful park! Who needs to go on vacation with a park like that in your backyard?!
Alex told us that the conditions were a little weird, but if this is the first episode of the season, we’re looking forward to the next ones!

A SESSION WITH NIELS AND ANTO from Ero One Films on Vimeo.
A few weeks ago we announced that Anto Brotto is one of the chosen riders for the upcoming 2012-2013 project of Ero One Films. As we already mentioned he had left for a rail killing roadtrip to Finland. Here you definitely can see that Finland isn’t his snowboarding Mekka just only for the pretty blonde girls but also for the monstruous rails that need to be tamed.

The Burton Park Jam Tour is an event for young riders. It is a series of nine contests in eight different countries. It’s a contest, both for boys and girls. They are divided in two categories: Girls & Boys (14 years and younger) and Women & Men. Every stop of the Burton Park Jam Tour is a 2 star TTR event. This allows the young rippers to earn points for the TTR World Tour and for the WSF World Rookie Rank. This gives them the opportunity to be listed on the same rankings as their freestyle hero’s. Therefore it’s like the Winter Dew tour for young European riders. Our two youngest riders, Jens Rummens and Simon Van Haeken, went to the fifth stop of the tour, in Nesselwang Germany. We had a talk with one of our youngest family members. This is his story:

Recap of Douds Charlet’s winning streak
February 16th, 2012
As we already mentioned in a previous post our freerider Jonathan “Douds” Charlet snatched away the 2nd place at this year’s Freeride World Tour first stop in Revelstroke, Canada. The second stop was in Chamonix, Douds his local town. We still don’t know whether it was the cheering of all his friends and family or the Imperium snowboard under his feet, but he killed the mountain and stole first place.
This is what the official FWT site had to say of his local conquest:
Rock solid in Revelstoke, Douds was again on the top of his game taking a creative line on the extreme lookers right of the face. He was smooth and clean throughout, a textbook Freeride lesson for any youngsters with world tour ambitions. "It's great to win at home in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. I threw a front side 360 at the top and dropped four cliffs overall. I tried to stay fast and clean and I think I achieved that."
